Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G: A Full Review

This dark horse mid-ranger, the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G, debuted sometime in mid-2024, is quite stylish in appearance and delivers nice performance. It goes for ₹27,999 for the entry-level model with an 8GB/128GB variant, a price that pretty much appeals to users looking to strike value-for-money balance without letting go of essential featuresDesign and Display.

The Oppo F27 Pro+ is designed sleek with a slim profile of 7.8mm and a lightweight build of 177g, making it comfortable to carry around for everyday use. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen produces Full HD+ resolution and a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate that ensures vibrant visuals and splendid responsiveness. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass and supports HDR10+, taking the multimedia experience to new heights. And not to mention the device's very striking colors like Dusk Pink, making it even more outstanding aesthetics-wise. It comes with an IP69 rating, which is really great for an outdoor enthusiast as it protects all forms of dirt ingress and water.

According to Performance and Software Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoCs coupled with an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 discrete GPU. It would suit decent casual gaming and day-to-day users because it features a really beautiful and smooth multitasking experience. It supports 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage for fast app launches and much space in storing.

The F27 Pro plus runs on Android 14 along with ColorOS 14 from Oppo, which has proven itself desirable in terms of its ease of use and customizations. Since it also comes with AI tools like AI Smart Image Matting and AI LinkBoost, it increases the usability of the smartphone.

Camera Performance

The F27 Pro+ comes with a dual rear camera that has a first 64MP and second 2MP macro lens. The main camera of the device is perfect for capturing photos in standard, as well as in low-light environments due to integrated facilities including HDR and big aperture. Selfies can be captured with a moderate quality by the 8MP front camera; it also supports 4K video, with gyro-EIS.Battery and Charging

The smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery, which can last an entire day even under heavy use. It also supports 67W Super VOOC fast charging technology, which can fill the battery  56% in just 20 minutes.

Connectivity and Other Features

Oppo F27 Pro+ comes with dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and advanced location technologies like GPS and GLONASS. The device is missing features like an NFC and a headphone jack; however, it is equipped with a reliable in-display fingerprint scanner and a collection of sensors.

Comparisions:

The Oppo F27 Pro+ is one of the choices in the mid-range smartphones; however, the options of competition offer different features that can persuade some buyers.

Compared to the Realme 13 Pro+, the F27 Pro+ offers a premium design with an IP69 rating but falls short against providing greater processing power with the Dimensity 7200 chipset. The Realme device then takes the lead due to its primary 108MP camera. The Motorola Edge 50 caters to a more stock Android experience, paired with the extra buttery-feeling 144Hz AMOLED screen. This makes it more appealing to those who really prefer clean software and up-to-the-minute visuals.

This OnePlus Nord CE 3 almost mirrors Oppo in being able to charge some beats per minute faster and its design aesthetics but adds an ultrawide lens for that added versatility in photography.

To top it all, the Galaxy M14 5G from Samsung is the cheaper of the two but still beats it in price while underwhelming the LCD display and slow charge. Yet, it compensates with massive 6000mAh not to mention the massive battery. Overall, the Oppo F27 Pro+ dazzles with its design-first looks, a bright AMOLED screen, and an average performance. However, the phone does go on to test some really strong competition in terms of certain specialized areas like silent algorithms, software experience, or even gaming performance depending on the user's priority.

Conclusion:

It is one of those smartphones where one gets value for money as it looks very classy, performs well, and charges super-fast. Not everyone will appreciate the camera and the absence of NFC, but there is a strong case for display quality, battery backup, and overall design. At ₹27,999, it stands against the likes of Realme 13 Pro+ and Motorola Edge 50, which makes it a strong contender for purchase.
